Default How do I get my site at the first page rank in Google, Yahoo and MSN?

I have read from SEO's that you need to submit links to many web link directories. I can only try free submission as I do have much fund to add for this. Does free submission still work?
Besides this, how else to get top?

I need serious answer who knows about SEO? Thanks in advance.

Default How do I get my site at the first page rank in Google, Yahoo and MSN?

Over recent week I have managed to get my site listed third on Google and Second on Yahoo.

Anyway what i found works best other than correctly creating your site is get your url all over the internet. the more the search robots come accross your website the more it is indexed.

Speak about your site in forums but make sure you put http:// every time you write your website address.

Also Directories are great at getting your website seen by search engines because directories are indexed several times a day.

Advertise on Free directories. Take a few hours to submit your site as many times as you can.

http://www.tristaronline.co.uk
http://www.uktradesdirectory.co.uk

Both of these are normally paid directories but they are offering Free lifetime listing during december.

Also create a sitemap in xml format and submit this to search engines. it will help then navagate your site.

example http://www.tristaronline.co.uk/sitemap.xml

Anyway thats the basics but you can find free tools to create meta tages, keywords and actually test your vistability by visiting http:www.scrubtheweb.com

Default How do I get my site at the first page rank in Google, Yahoo and MSN?

The most important success strategy for SEO on major search engines such as Google, Yahoo and MSN is:

1. Host your website on a web server that's a primary unix URL, i.e., http:, not on a www.com; use the homepage option of AT&T/SBC Global which is often an http: rather than their commercial www. hostside.

2. Select host providers which have side agreements with major search engines, such as AT&T/SBC Global with Yahoo.com; AOL.com business hosting with Google.com search directory;, etc. These arrangements often selectively elevate rankings of major search providers on major search directories.

3. Be the first website to claim generic keywords which is localized by city, state, country in the <title> metatag.

4. Create a <description> metatag of at least 41 words to form complete sentences which best describe your goods and services;

5. Create a <keywords> metatags of no more than 15 entries in plural and compound variations separated by a space and comma.

6. Do not create obstacles to search robots/spiders during the index process, such as the use of frames, use of pure flash webpages, use of stylized texts within .gifs rather than as hard HTML text.

The following article will prove helpful to you in streamlining your SEO metatags in order to attract more Net traffic by higher search engine placement.

The most effective way to advertise on the Internet is
to first set up a website and publish its domain name
on major search directories such as Google.com,
Yahoo.com [at http://www.google.com/addurl/?...... and
MSN.com since 85% of Internet shoppers rely on these
search directories to provide them with goods and
services. In a sense, these search directories are a
very large Internet Yellow Pages.

Nevertheless, should your website or opening webpage
fail to contain "generic" keywords, then anyone using
such "generic" queries will not be able to discover
your website. Your domain name [url] of your website,
in a sense, will be invisible, undiscoverable.

You may want to consider some simple algorithms which,
when observed and committed in designing of a website
with placement of various critical metatags that can
surely achieve a high search engine presence and
increase Internet traffic to your website. These
metatag strategies work well with published webpages
at Google and Yahoo.

Design: Should you create an extensive Flash-based
website, make sure to fill-in the property entries
such as the Title, Description and Keywords. Failing
to do so, leaves no hard HTML or ALT resource that can
be readily indexed by search robots. Also consider the
Internet audience and their incoming setup. For
example, if they are on analog/dialup, Flash webpages
take too long to load up and therefore analog users
will likely lose interest and discontinue entering the
Flash site. On the other hand, anyone on hi-speed DSL
lines, will welcome Flash pages which load quickly. So
before designing a pure Flash websitge, ask the simple
question, "Who's my end user - is he on dialup or
DSL?" And if you had to choose between these two users
for maximum marketability, then select analog users
since 80% of most resident users are still analog
Internet subscribers and pure HTML designed webpages
is best for them.

A non-Flash-based website which relies on hard text,
is far easier to be indexed by search robots. Limit
the use of stylized text saved as .gifs since as a
graphic, they are not indexable by search robots.

Avoid use of frames since any number of search robots
are unable to properly classify textual material.

Placement of Metatags:

A ranking or search order does take place with Google
and Yahoo and it begins with the "Title" metag which
should consist of no more than 60 characters separated
by commas. The "Title" should describe in generic terms, the goods and services, followed by a location from which the resource is located, i.e., city, state. The placement of a domain name which is not generic within the "Title" is not appropriate, unless your
domain name is a major recognizable brand name.

The second metatag is the "Description" which is
usually up to 41 words to form a complete paragraph which
best describes one's goods and services. It is not merely a list.

And the very last category - "Keywords" are also
somewhat limited to 15 words which can be plural
and compound in nature. Again, avoid multiple entries
which could be mistaken as "spamdexed entries" which
is defined as the loading, and submission of
repetitive words into a particular metatag category."Spamdexing" when discovered on a webpage and reported
to Google's spamreport.com can result in the
elimination of your website from their search
directory.

Here's an example of a very highly-placed website on
Google.com: Begin with the very "generic" search query"sandwiches downtown los angeles," taking note to not
abbreviate Los Angeles to "LA" and of course, leave
out the parentheses ("). It will bring up some 2.4
million+ search results. Check out where "Nazos.net"
is ranked. It's on the FIRST FRONT PAGE [ranked #5]!
Again, Nazos.net's high web presence was achieved by
proper web design and placement of relevant metatags
according to Google's publication guidelines.

Good luck!

Most of the so called SEO experts are wrong and get paid for their bad advice.

You must treat the web as an extension of your website. If you buy search words for pay per click traffic they must be relevant to the business you are in. The words you use when you are viewed by someone using your search term must be compelling.

Click through rates are very important to the three most popular search engines. Next, your landing page must be very compelling for the viewer to take action.

If you have a high click through rate 3-4% and a high conversion rate 5-9% you will end up high in the sponsor section and high in the natural search.

Proper meta tagging and word usage throughout your site improves your position in the natural search.

Linking only works if some one follows the link and builds traffic. Dead links do nothing.

I know there will be many who disagree, but I had a 4% click through rate and a 8.5% conversion. I ended up at the upper left hand corner for both PPC and NS.

Ok first of all i dont know alot about seo but i learned a little from my seo who is a master. You need to optimize your metatags first(title, description, keywords). There are a few free ways to get links. One is directories as u allready know.
The other would be to find relevant forums that are closely related to your website and signup and poist there and add your signature link to your posts in the form of a hyperlink with your main keyword as the hyperlink to your website.
This is a great free way to get backlinks for ur site.
